Performance of the system in the benchmarks
Diamonds correspond to a disease-causing gene of the benchmark on 100 diseases,
and indicates the
percentage of hits in the corresponding chromosomal region that had a
better R-score than the disease-related gene versus its R-score.
Out of the 100 disease-related genes, 87 were identified. In those cases, the gene was among the 3 best scoring genes in the 39% of the cases, among the 8 best scoring genes in the 47% of the cases, and among the 30 best scoring genes in the 62%. In the previous version, 55 of the 100 disease-related genes were detected, and the associated disease gene was among the 8 best-scoring genes in 25% of the cases, and among the 30 best in 50% of the cases [see benchmark evaluation table] |
