The next window displays a list of the abtracts (with part of the title) and a score that reflects whether they contain the words present in the chain(s) selected previously, and other words pending from them (see Figure 7a).

There is an automatic selection procedure based on a fixed threshold, so that abstracts above the threshold are selected (in black) and those below the threshold are not (in red). However, one can manually select or deselect them. As we ticked the SwissProt box we can see very quickly a reference reporting the crystal structure of the heparin binding domain of APP.

The top abstracts of the list are likely to be the more interesting. You can follow the links (the MEDLINE identifier on the left) in order to check them.

The next step is the first one of a second iteration. The selected abstracts (normally less than the initial set you provided) will be used for computing relations between them.

By checking the Yes box you are incuding in the next iteration the neighbors abstracts of the preselected set. This is useful when you want to expand the information about the subject you are focusing. In this example, the heparin binding domain of APP.

You can carry on to the next step by clicking the "Compute relationships between words in abstracts" button at the bottom of the window.
